The website design, proprietary layout, branding, logos, graphics, ATS scoring algorithms, document export generators (including PDF and Word .docx formatting), role templates, and source code of cvmaker.org are the exclusive intellectual property of cvmaker.org and are protected under the international copyright laws of the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and other international treaties.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using cvmaker.org ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must discontinue use of the Service immediately.
2. User Data Ownership & Client-Side Privacy
Your content belongs to you. All personal resume and cover letter content, work history, educational achievements, contact details, and uploaded files entered into the Service remain 100% your exclusive property.
cvmaker.org is engineered with a strict privacy-first architecture. Your resume data is stored locally in your web browser's storage (localStorage) and is processed on your device. We do not sell, rent, or collect your personal resume details for advertising or third-party profiling.
3. Permitted Use & License
cvmaker.org grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service to compose, format, edit, and export your personal resumes, curriculum vitae, and cover letters for job applications.
You are free to download, print, distribute, and send your exported PDF and Word (.docx) files to employers, recruiters, universities, and job boards without any royalty fees or watermarks.
4. Intellectual Property & Prohibited Activities
You expressly agree not to:
- Copy, clone, scrape, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the source code, user interface, or design templates of cvmaker.org for commercial resale or hosting a competing service.
- Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to extract templates, databases, or content without explicit prior written authorization.
- Misrepresent, alter, or remove copyright notices, trademarks, or proprietary marks appearing on the Service.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
cvmaker.org is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. While our ATS parsing and scoring tools are designed in alignment with standard industry Applicant Tracking Systems, we do not guarantee specific employment outcomes, interview callbacks, or hiring decisions. The Service is used entirely at your own risk.
6. Governing Law
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without giving effect to any choice of law principles.
